Just ordered a box of these yesterday evening, looking forward to smoking one of these after all the positive reviews I have read. Are these usually ready to go OTT? Got a box (only 10 to a box though) for $62.00, that was with shipping, is that a good price? Any advice on how to cut the chisel would also be appreciated.

I tried the recommended top punch but just did not get enough smoke, even with a double punch so I cut it like a torp.

IMO it was just an OK smoke, very flat with no distinguishable flavor profile.

Hope you enjoy them.

As far as prices it is about the average price for the box...

If you want to save yourself about $12 bucks a box email me

They are going to stop producing the maduro version of the chisel very soon so get them while you can...

yup. got my resting for when they stop production and then I plan on soaking some poor sap....

actually these are freakin' great, but no better than the reg. Double Ligero IMNSHO. What Tony said - didn't like the punch although the idea is to get the smoke right on the palate which makes sense, but it didn't do it for me - I just clipped the end (and not much at all) and I got tons of flavor. Thought I saw these on cbid not too long ago...
