Would you want to be recognized and receive medals knowing your wounds were so frivolous that you did not miss any action? I'd be deeply ashamed much less run for office.

My Dad received the Purple Heart for wounds from a German machine gun round to his knee while fighing in the Vosges Mountains of France on Dec 7th 1944. But it didn't qualify him to be President, Nor do 3 small flesh wounds received by Kerry
BTW earlier in the day before my Dad was wounded he was shot across the neck. That bullet went sideways and just nicked his adams apple. The medic placed a bandage on his neck, my Dad picked up his BAR and went back into action. He would not have even thought to put himself in for a Purple Heart for that wound or to request being sent home early. Nor did he feel the need to get a combat wounded specialty plate for his car even though he was more deserving of one than Kerry, To me that is the measure of a man

I am commenting more on the blatant smear than on Kerry's Presidential fitness. Are ANY wounds received in combat frivolous? I think it's inappropriate for people to say Kerry is an unfit COC and then endorse a guy that had some problems getting to his guard meetings ontime!

I don't see how Bush missing some guard time is a big deal. Do you know how many reservists miss their weekends each year? It's laughable.

By raising these questions about Kerry's Purple Hearts, there is an implication that his Bronze and Silver Stars are somehow also undeserved. I find this particularly distasteful coming from the Republicans (and it IS coming from them) considering the war record of the guy THEY are running.

Who really gives a royale rats ass about what they freakin did 30,40 years ago...WHO CARES...can they run the God Blessed Country...Christ all this crap just fries my hairy white butt.

He would also like to spend his first 120 days in office flying around to these different Nations saying He's sorry for all the wrongs that the US has done to there country. I can go on and on and on. I think it's safe to say that the wrong man was picked by the Dem party. Also my Dad fought in NAM , First Cav , Bon Song 66-67. Had a 1 1/2 in piece of metal pulled out of his leg. He had it removed by a medic in the field. He was told since it wasn't removed in a Hospital he would not be receiving a PH. Like I said, J.K. thnks for your service but no thanks Election Day.

While that shouldn't be the sole agenda for the first 120 days, making some phone calls and paying some visits and making it clear that he's NOT a war-crazed, inarticulate wannabe could reap some benefits.

Today J.K. is not a war crazed freak but he might be next Thursday than on Friday he might be than at 12:00 noon on that Friday he might not be.
