I'm on my current Conn Shade kick and I bought some Don Diegos to try (Privada No. 1). Had one last night and it was actually pretty good. Very smooth and mild with some good flavors. Towards the end it developed a pretty creamy character. Great construction, burn and draw too (firm but not hard draw).

In all I was pretty impressed with it, but it was a bit too mild for my tastes. Worth a try though.

one of my very first cigars was a Don Diego Playboy. I used to think they were absolutely heavenly. I think about that cigar a lot and wonder if I'd still consider it a good cigar. Every now and then I'm in the mood for a mild, creamy conn. shade...I never see them though...

Don Diego was one of my first cigars as well, and haven't smoked one for over 10 years now! Remember they were always mild and creamy!

Good memories. For me it was the Corona Major (in alum tubes). $55 bought a box then. Haven't done one in years.
