I have a question about the PSD4.

I have seen several of these and some have had a glossy darker wrapper, while others have had a creamy, golden brown wrapper.

Even some of the advertising I have seen will show some with the glossy darker wrapper, while others will show the creamy golden wrapper.

Is there 2 variations of the PSD4 or does the wrappers vary that much through the years?

Thanks.

You must be talking about the new Monte bands. The PSD4 is red with gold lettering, the CAO Anniv. is a knock off of the PSD4. The new Monte bands are glossy.

BMW... he said "wrapper" as in the last leaf to be "wrapped" around the cigar. Not band.

Wrapper color does vary from year to year. I have some that look like Conn Shade and some that look like maduro's. X

2004's are very dark, similar to a lot of the EL's. 2004 Monte 2's are also very dark. Oh and both are Verrrrrrrrrrrry good.

MADURO????? Wow, I've yet to see a PSD4 that dark, ussually the dark wrappers are saved for the EL's, cool. I've smoked a few PSD's and the wrapper variation is wide in all of them, by far the best one's that I got were the ones with the rosado wrapper, like a redish brown color, yummy!! Let these sit for 4-5 years and you got yourself a hellofa smoke!! LOL, only if I could wait that long.....

What Mr. limoric said

I have a couple 2004's that are nice and dark and a few from last year that are more of a yummy golden brown.

Ok, now when I get home I will have one fewer....

Bought 2 boxes (both from 03). One has a darker wrapper, and one has a lighter wrapper. Don't know why though. (maybe it's the different factory??)

Gotta love the rosado wrappers.I got a couple boxes of San Cristobal El Principes a while back, one box had slightly lighter wrapper and the others were all rosado. While the lighter ones are still very good, the rosados will kick your arse!

correct me if I'm wrong, but they're not exactly a 'Rosado wrapper' but sometimes 'rosado' in color... just trying to clarify
