That's a deal. I might be over that way next month.....I was supposed to be there right now, but I had to cancel the plans. A local with an itch to smoke a short robusto needed me this weekend. Gotta do what you gotta do I guess.

Oh yeah, I had a headhunter call me today and ask if I was willing to go play in the sandbox for a year, helping out the indigineous peoples rebuild their country. Had to tell him no thanks, I've got too many locals here that love me to muchee for that. I'll play in the jungle, but me and sand don't get along anymore.

Can't say that I blame you for saying no to the sandbox. Even if there wasn't a war going on, I couldn't think of a good reason to trade the far east for the middle east. From your past posts it looks like you get to visit quite a few of the counties in the far east. Each is unique but still very inviting. In the middle east, one sandbox is just like another.
Hot, inhospitable, and not very accepting of western culture.

You're absolutely right on the money there....the only desert I have any desire to play in these days is our own great American Southwest. It'd be hard to give up the fun and adventure over here, but oh, just to wake up, roll out of my bivouac bag, and smell the creosote bushes of Glen Canyon, or to see a lightning storm across Sebino Canyon!....man, that can really make you miss the USA, just thinking about that. If only I could bring the wimmins with me.
