The strangest thing happened - I won a 5-pack of Oliva "O" bold Oasis Torps, and I received the without the bands... Anyone else ever experienced this, or know why c-bid might ship bandless? I don't want to bother customer service with it, because it's not a big deal at all, (in fact I find the O bands kinda tacky and end up removing them anyway) I'm just curious if it's ever happened to others. It was funny, i kinda felt like I was getting a shipment of "contraband" stogies 😉

I do know that Oliva O's did a reblend & they were selling the old blend as a segundo at another cigar distributor. They were bundled & had no bands. Very tasty & affordable. Don't know if this is what happened here, but I would ask if I were you.

A stick without a band is like...like... um...aaaa...like a bilatteral lazer guided propane cutter with cloaking capibilities without a safety catch...

Or something like that.

I hate unbanded cigars. I won't buy them or smoke them. Just a wierd thing that I have. I do make the exception for Juan Lopez sticks and for the Mag 46. But only for those.

ROFL!! My favorite cigar of all time is the Por Larranaga Petit Corona Cabinet. It has not band but is absolutely the best "little" cigar for the buck IMHO!!

Cheers,

I wouldn't worry.

The "O" Bold and "O" Maduro, have the red or blue satin bands. I know from experience that the wrappers on these cigars are extremely delicate. Although the satin bands are very cool, I have had atleast 5 or 6 that have been damaged by the band.

If you want "O" Bands.....I have atleast 40 or 50 I can give you. I take all the bands off my "O"'s....and I have 2 boxes of the torps. and 4 5-packs of singles in my coolidor.

Oh.....and if anybody reading this has never smoked an "O" Bold.....You are missing out on one of the best cigars in the World...and not only because of price.

Call customer service.

Unless they were advertised as unbanded, they should have come with the bands intact. Unless they were part of that huge closout lot of segundos mentioned above, they would have their bands. I'm sure it was just a shipping room person's flub.

Jay, you are the one exception to the rule. I always know that banded or not, if it comes from your humi, it has to be good!

I'm not worried about it. On the outside of the ziplock bag was a sticker with "Oliva O Bold Oasis" handwritten on it, as if someone wanted me to know that I was getting the right thing, and they certainly look and smell like the right thing. I just thought it was odd. No worries, but thanks all for the info - now what's this about Oliva segundo's? I don't see mention of them on c-bid or CI - do they ever offer them? If someone has info on these, drop me a line at ike at ikeplair dot com.

thanks
