Anybody else age these puppies for a long time like me? When I first tried them, I loved them. I got a box or 2... THen I found them to be a bit on the harsh side. I was considering going to the trades board with them. But I let the sleep, and sleep, and sleep. After > a year in the humi, they've mellowed. They're still in your face, but not harsh. Very full bodied, but also very smokable...

I have one that I have aged about six weeks. That might be a record for me.

I did not age them as long as Robby but even 6 months made a diff. I like em right out of the box though.

I've got a selection of them buried somewhere from the original release. They were too harsh and in your face then and I didn't care for them. I may have to take Robby's advice and give one a try.

Right out of the box Baby!!!

But yes, they do mellow a bit with some age. But alas, they are so high on my list (#2 on the non-ISOM scale behind the Boli Fuerte) that they dont stay in the humi to long. And now that I got Ms. Dragon hooked on um, they dont stay around at all.

One of my favs too but definitely agree aging brings them around nicely. Got a full box going on about 4 months now...I'll sample one by the end of Sept...

See, six weeks. And what did I reach for as a little midnight smoke, forgetting this thread? Smells great, can't wait to fire it up.

just got my friend a box of these, they are his fav. smokes I like them but alittle to strong for my taste. I have had some from the first boxes from a few years ago and they havent changed as much as others say, but it just be me. Overall for the price I think they are a hella good smoke, but a bit strong for me.

Yeah, six weeks wasn't enough. Didn't do much for me. Flavor was okay to me. Burn was mediocre. Looked good. Smelled nice. Probably just needed to rest more, but I don't have the funds to buy in bulk yet.

My favorite every day. Smoke them too fast to let them sleep.

Attention Black fans - There is a new addition to the family. A tubo called the Maximo. Picked one up last night and smoked it right away. Very nice. 6 x 50(?)

WOW!!! Just smoked one of these, liked it so much I had to do a search of the archives to see if it was just me. Got mine from a boxpass, so I don't know how old it was. Not at all 'in your face' like some described, just a great smoke. Very sneaky; full, but mellow taste, and almost psychotropic in its effects. A definite mood enhancer!

Smoked a lot of these and never had one plug (cursed myself?). They do tend to burn uneven if care is not taken on lighting. Still worth that bit aggrivation. The new tubo is a winner.

I can see where plugging might be a problem. I smoked their shorty ('Bravo' 4.5x54), and tried punching it like most cigars I smoke. But after lighting it I decided that this one would smoke better if it was cut, so I did. I could feel the hard spot under the label.

Speaking of labels, on this short of a cigar, that big ol' Partagas label looks a little silly. Kinda like a rodeo belt, or the old WWF belts. The label is almost half as big as the cigar!
