I got home from work and what do I see but 3 packages waiting for me (paging Dr. Seuss). One from Bassdude that contains a DVD and a cigar that smells curiously like a cow chip. Another from gamelover with lovely Cuesta Rey's and others that we made a good trade on. Plus one from THSdesigns that had a Xikar cutter (I love that cutter, it cut that bassdude smoke nicely, heheheh) and 2 more hand rolled. It's a happy porch day all around. Thanks guys.

So how was the Monte?

That monte was a powerful little sucker. I took the dog to the park and smoked it under a shady tree, and I tell you what, after about 2/3 down it started packing a wallop! If I hadn't eaten before I smoked it I don't think I could have made it to the end. 8')

Note to self... buy Monte #4's...

THS - I'm really looking forward to those handrolled you sent me. I think I'll try one sometime in August and see if they need more rest, then maybe the next one around the holidays. If you haven't seen the Cuban cigar story DVD, you would find it interesting to see what goes into making cigars.
