So I was saying to my self, "self" (that's what I call myself)"a boxpass would be a great way to get to know some fellow BOTLs and SOTLs" so let me tell you about the idea I have for a box pass, although I bet it has already been done.

I was rummaging through my humi's and attempting to list my smokes (yes I know it's anal) and as I was listing them I sorted them by name. After I had a couple of humi's listed I noticed I can cover just about every letter of the alphabet...cool.

So...long story made even longer....is anyone interested in a boxpass whereby the I begin the pass with a cigar starting with every letter of the alphabet? The following list is what I had in mind:

I would be happy to join your pass. I can e-mail you the standard rules and help with whatever you need to get started. I would suggest that you start with aprox 50 gars and you can always add a theme. I did nothing special with mine but Rob likes to send along a nice drink. Others have included hats for all the members, or an offering of a particular gar they like and want to share with the members.

Quick advice if any of these gars are naked put them in single baggies. I now own some very good gars with torn up wrappers - guess I need to get ahold of Archimark for a repair kit.

Use Hoja de Nicaragua for the letter "H." I would be happy to contribute some of mine for the project even though I couldn't join the pass.

I guess a good question too would be, if you take a cigar that starts with "F" do you have to replace it with an "F"? Or is that just for the starting of the pass?

i just have to chime in here on one of those cigars, as it may be lesser known to folks here -- QUORUM! they are bundle 'gars, but maaaaaaan they are GOOD! they're nicaraguan puros and quite tasty. med-full, flavorful, good draw, good burn.

someday i'll get a bundle of 'em, but i've been buying them as singles ($1.15-$1.75 per stick) locally and have tried all sizes and vitolas.

I guess I should hold off on the boxpass idea for awhile, at least until I get some more experience here.
