Man, guess I was doing it wrong the whole time then…….. Here is how I have been doing it.
I unwrapped the cigar and throw away the useless pieces (the things you guys called the wrapper and binder stuff) that you can’t smoke. Then I take the middle thingy leaf and use my high end cigar cutter (that Xikar thing) and start cutting that so called long filler into a bunch of very very short filler, yes keep cutting them till they become a bunch of ¼ of an inch long thingy. (I recently found that using a regular kitchen scissors works better than that cigar cutter I have because that damn xikar thing keep locking itself after every cut and it became very time consuming to cut a so called Churchill size cigar about 20 minutes or so and you got to be very careful when you do this because you don’t want to be disturbed. Last time I was on the last cuts and my cat jump on the counter and messed up my leafs, I ended up have to smoke my leafs mixed with some cat hair. That’s why I was always surprise how can you all smoke your cigar outdoor? Doesn’t the wind going to mess up the cutting piece? Anyway, now I always lock myself in the bathroom when I cut my cigars.
No here come the actual smoking part, I then take all those cut leafs and put them into that clear glass thingy that have water at the bottom, you know someone called that thing a “honk” or something like that… anyway the water really keep the tobacco moist and I heard it help filter out the bad stuff as well. Now light it and keep sucking…….. what a great cigar!
Well, I guess I have to try it the way you guys describe and see…… Thanks for sharing guys.
