Wondering what the general consensus is as what to use to fix broken/loose wrappers?

I think there are repair kits available with spirit gum which is what they use when they roll them.

Best and cheapist is to use pectin. Pectin is all natural, available in powder or premixed liquid at your local grocery store. It is used in canning jellies and such. You mix a very small amount of powder with water and use it like a glue. No taste to speak of and works great.

I have used rolling papers to make kinor repairs. I guess these papers are for people who roll their own cigs?

i'll have to check out the pectin option sometime.

there's a repair kit by "doctor cigar" or "dr. cigar" (google it). my local shops carry it, but it's about $10, and hey-- that's five house brand cigars right there! 😉

I think I box of pectin was 62 cents. And one box will last about a 1000 years or so....

heh -- goody, if a cigar's wrapper is damaged/missing closer to the head of a cigar, i've been known to patch the "air leak" with scotch tape and smoke it anyway! 🙂

pectin sounds wonnerful. it goes on the grocery list now.

i'm shaking my head over a handful of cigars -- they look like they went through a hurricane and got big ol' splotches of wrapper blown off all up and down the length. *sigh* some sticks in my recent box pass had this kind of damage -- a couple were in their own singles bags; others were cello'd. it's just sad to see that happen to a good cigar.
