BTW... I don't ever remember you updating us on your "plume" experiment. I remember you were going to increase the humidity on a certain humi and you put some good gars into it to see if humidity/plume are related...

it was a FLOP! I may not have waited long enough, but plume is an elusive thing. It's like UFOs, many people believe in them, few have seen them...

I had a bunch of bundle cigars I purchased here for "smokin' on the way home from work" materials. I placed them in a humidor at work, didn't give them a whole lotta love or attention, and they were absolutely covered with plume after a few months. Sweet, mild, excellent taste.

I have never been able to duplicate that. Not with the same cigars, not with the same humidor, not with the same amount of time. Beats me how the heck I did it. But they sure were good.

I did get some nice Toranos that were plumed from one of my brick-n-mortar dealers. A guy picked one up and said "I'm not buy that thing - it's all moldy." After he put it down, I looked at it and snatched up the rest of the "moldy" box. LOL.

I've opened others up (they're wrapped in cedar) and they haven't been plumed. I'm still at a loss to explain exactly why it happens sometimes and doesn't others. It's a mystery.

I've bought Dimeolas on C-Bid that had plume on them. Also, I found JR Ultimate Cabinets at the JR store in NYC with plume on them. I bought one. The clerk started to hand me a non-plume one but I said, no, I want THAT one! She smiled and told me I knew my cigars. And yes, I am kicking myself for only buying one of those suckers. LOL.
