Ok......I get a box today, overnight delivery from Mississippi? From Gollott's seafood company? Inside.....5# box of shrimp! Whoa very cool. No note, no clue as to who sent it so I called the company and the good ole boy there at the shop says the paperwork just says to send it to me, but doesn't say who bought it! Dang.....anyone got a clue who lives near or in D'iberville, Ms?

:dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Nice package though.....I tried smoking one, but it must need more humi time?

Come on now.....someone needs to take credit where credit is due!!

I was just at the post office and telling the lady about mail order seafood, and she told me how someone sent some salmon to someone in my town a year ago...the reciever wouldn't come pick it up and the salmon sat at the post office. Because of regulations they had to hold the package for two weeks as the smell got worse and worse. After the two weeks were up, they had to return it in the mail to the sender. They got a phone call from the post office they sent it to and the salmon sat there for ten more days until they could finally throw it away.

Reminds me of the time when still in the AF I routed a training cross country flight to the Gulf Coast. In theory so the student got his cross country nav training done. In reality to bring back a big crate of live shrimp for an weekend shrimp boil for me and some other instructor pilot buddies. Nowhere to store it in a two seater jet. So just before we dropped the canopy the ground crew handed it to the student who had to hold the thing all the way back to Oklahoma! We would have had to seriously improvise if something serious had occured and ejection was needed! Funny as the dickens! Great shrimp boil weekend though:)

That was a funny story about the Gulf Coast training trip. My dad had to fly from Barksdale AFB here in Louisiana in 1964 to Ernest Harmon AFB, Newfoundland, Canada presumably for a weather station inspection (wasn't even in the same air wing lol). What he really went for were four crates of live Lobster.

Our tax dollars at work. 🙂
