I guess it might be if you were a big Gurkha fan.

I haven't smoked my Gurkhas because there's never an occasion that seems special enough to tear off that fancy foil label. Are these in the special real good cigars? Or is there a big variation between the different kinds (meaning are these Gurkha cheapos?) Sorry for the ignorance from this new guy

Good for a newbie. Gurka's look cool.

Taste like rolled lawn clippings.

I haven't been all that impressed, but the Regent I smoked the other nite was very good.

Gurkha is an excellent cigar brand. They get at least some tobacco from Torano and they have a variety of lines and vitolas ranging from $4 range to the $15 range (not including the Pre-embargo). The original line is pretty mild but a good smoke for the $3-$4 you can get them for on CI/(sometimes less on cbid). The master selects and regents are great cigars - not worth saving for a really special occassion, imo, but a lovely cigar - very high quality.

I agree with Ethan on these. Pretty good cigars, but nothing to get too excited about. At this price they are definitely worth it. In fact, the 2 Regents and one Centurian Double-X are worth this price.

I always find Gurkhas to be a pleasant smoke with great construction. As others have said, the Regent and Centurian are particularly good, although I've really enjoyed the expedition and master select series. Also, the special edition, one of which I received in a Gurkha sampler, is outstanding! So basically, I'm biting on this deal.
