My apologies.......I did not read up the thread far enough.

Just to set the record straight, while it is true that GameLover and I have not had a direct trade, we have participated in the same Pay-it-Forward game at cigarwise.com. I agreed to be his "mooch" and he sent me fifteen cigars -- all of them practically unknown makes and brands and all of them non-Cuban. When GameLover asked me privately what I thought of his "bomb" I told him quite honestly that I would never smoke any of them and that I would much rather have received a smaller number of better quality cigars. I attributed GameLover's selection of cigars to the fact that he seemed new to the cigar world and had probably sent me the best of his stash.

It was only later that I learned that, at about the same time, GameLover was offering to sell packages of 25 of the same brands that he "gifted me" (please remember that he had previously received a pay-it-forward package from someone else) for $1.00 a stick. In his sale offer (at Herfer's Paradise) he described what he was offering as "yard gars".

I followed GameLover's further activity on the same pay-it-forward thread through two more "mooches" from him -- and learned that he had a pattern of sending large numbers of "yard gars" in his "gifts" and that he had received very high quality cigars as PIF "gifts" from others.

As I have watched GameLover's posts on this board and other boards, it has become increasingly evident that he is not what he pretends to be -- a generous "brother of the leaf." Rather, he is a rip-off artist. And contrary to GameLover's lie, I speak from personal experience.

I am the first to say that I am delighted that many folks have had good experiences in their dealings with Steve. So maybe he rips off only 1 of 10 people he deals with. What if you, like me, end up being that one? I prefer that the people I do trades and other cigar transactions with be 100% above reproach. Steve (GameLover) is not. You all can judge for yourselves whether you want to do business with him. For me, he's just like too many guys who start out pretending to be newbies and garner a bunch of favorable trader comments, only to prove themselves to be scumbags on one bulletin board after another and with one identity after another.

Well Steve I have dealt with you and traded with you... actually no scratch that I gifted you cigars that you practically begged for privately at Cigar Weekly. I said you didn't need to send me cigars but you repeatedly insisted. Yet I never received anything... nor any communication asking if I'd received anything. Don't even try to deny it. I still have the PMs. 🙂

Then when I posted on a thread at Cigar Divan that one of their member's avatars was cool, you called ME a troll!

Think about it. If the allegations are true, how would you directly know you'd been done this way? As far as that particular trade goes, you'd think you'd gotten a good deal.

I wouldn't trade/deal with Gamelover again if you paid me.

I couldn't agree more. Many of us are members at multiple boards that Gamelover, just all of a sudden, joined one day....and has tried his absolute hardest to get into any trade, contest, or boxpass he can possibly get into....without necesarily building a repoir with some of the veterans of some of these sites.
Most would say such trust is not just earned overnight. We are talking home addresses, very valuable cigars, large volumes in boxpasses.....Serious money and time invested!!!!!!!

So Trish, please listen to all sides, or no sides. If Gamelover sent you a sappy e-mail, please don't let that sway your listening to some Extremely Generous and Respected members of other boards....AND this board.

I know because I still have copies of the PM's. I can't find any thread at CigarDivan in which you and I both posted on so how could I have called you a troll if we have never posted on the same thread there? Please post a link to it so I can see this.

FYI Gamelover's MO is to send many emails/PMs to mods/admins whining about treatment on the boards. I'm guessing she's received more than one. 🙂

I am sorry my PIF to you back in my first days here wasn't up to your level of QUALITY you are used to receiving. I send the very best I have in my posession at the moment of shipping to the BOTL who wins my PIF in many cases even yours case I went to a local shop that sells handmade cigars and purchased additional cigars to make the PIF I am sending out better. I thought participating in a PIF meant sending your best sticks you had to a fellow BOTL. Not having a BOTL angry at me because I didn't send specific cigars which I didn't have any nor do any of the stores that sell hand rolled cigars in Warren PA have either, so how can you give something you don't have and can't get fast and locally? If you send me your address again I would like to rectify the PIF you received from me with cigars that should be up to your level of QUALITY. Also I assume you have contacted BigDaddyOpus, un_puro_bueno, and froghair about the PIFs they received from me? If not please read read their PMs to me and contact them about the PIFs they received from me.

yes steven i recieved your PIF today and i must say i am sorry for my post and i will go and edit it. to my defence though van had brought several things to my attention re some of your past PIF and writtings on other boards which didnt fill me with much hope. it all goes back to vans post about what to send? do you send your best, your medium range cigars or "dog rockts" i always send the best. ive sent out cigars to guys ive never even tried myself......eg cuaba salomones, ryj pyramides, hoyo pyramide el, partagas pyramide, siglo 1,2,3,4,5,6. for me its all about the giving and i try to go above and beyond. i will edit my post and i will put up a public response of what i got. i am sorry about this.

Who's the lying sack of ****?

Game lover is telling a lie. The thread that he says is not there (was deleated). And what these other people have said about him is true. I have not been witness to it all but have seen most of it play out, and gamelover is lieing through his teeth.
Go to the other board and ask the mods about the thread that got deleated. It was deleated I think due to gamelover bad mouthing.

Aliphus post is dead on all he said was something about the nice aviator. And you see how gamelover replied to that.

People think about that, and what you have been told, about this person.

I give this thread till Monday Noon and then it will be pulled. I for one am cutting and pasting.
