Yo Redneck1:

First let me say that's one beautiful fish.

On the 6;00 news tonight they had a film clip on a young teenager who was kayak fishing at Surf City N.J.. The boy after a 20 minute fight hauled in a 52.8 lb. striper, just 5 lbs. short of the record in his age group. The striper was almost as tall as the boy, a once in a life time (if your lucky) catch.

BMW, I live 1/2 mile from the reservoir where the 1st expermental hybrids were released. If you recall, it's a cross between striped bass and the common white perch. They were supposed to be sterile. Guess what? Now, 15 years later we're catching juveniles. Can you say Jurassic Park? We don't mind though, as it's a great fish and a welcome addition. Now about those snakeheads.......

License to kill bass by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill bass at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a fish. And a fish will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Fish Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.

THL, I know what you mean about experiments. Texas A&M used Grass Carp to clean up the Hydrilla here and of course they were supposed to die off and not reproduce, LOL. I've seen young Hybrids too and the lake hasn't been stocked in years, supposed to be a put and take deal but they seem to be reproducing. Ok by me!
