Got home from work and my box from CI Fullfillment was on the counter upside down with "Your a dead man" written on the bottom.

Took out the trash, got bitten by fire ants, ran to the doctor for medicine, and so... I haven't had the wrath... yet.

Snatched a box of Torano Sig Churchills, and a box of 59 exodus's.

Which brings me to the reason for posting on this thread. The Laquer paint smell from the box of 59's was absolutely overpowering. In the room in my basement I opened it in with 10 foot ceilings, it filled the room like I painted the walls. I had to remove all the gars, hoping they are not tainted, and toss the box.

Didn't expect that from a Torano product.

Not meaning to threadjack, but have had some experience with the wrath myself.

I have gotten around this by having cigars shipped to a friend's who didn't have those kind of issues. Would this work?

mc - don't worry about the bashing thing. this has been brought up on the tbb before. frankie and friends want to know about this sort of thing. they are working on it. it seems the demand for their sticks are so high they are cranking out boxes as fast as they can. some of the guys say the smell will go away.

the last time I actually had to call UPS and tell them I was planning a suprise for my wife and didn't want her at the house when they delivered...they told me where the truck was that had my package and I met him there...how was I supposed to know that my C-Bid order and CI order were going to arrive in consecutive days? I nearly avoided a large fight there. Here's hoping I'll be home for Fridays delivery 🙂

I had a box form another manufacturer that had a similar smell issue. It did go away after a while and it didn't seem to penetrate the cigars.

Oh yeah...for Fathers Day Ms. Dragon gave me a box of Partagas Blacks a Bundle of Premium Seconds, and 2 five packs, so I have NO IDEA what this wrath thing is all about.

I don't recall any smell on the varnished Torano boxes I have gotten, but then again, my wife and kids take the cigars out and put them in the humidor and steal the boxes. Seems they make great nik nak boxes for them and they look so cool. LOL!

PS... I usually get the note that says, "You owe me tonight and I thought you said it only cost $xxx". LOL!

mine just says 'Hey you got some cigars' while she's watching Home Shopping Network or QVC. I'm small potato's compared to her...

This issue was raised on the Toraño board and Charlie Toraño personally responded to it. They are working on it.

The cigars turned out to be just fine, BTW. Resting naked in the coolers now.
