I'm a Newbie to this "hobby" who has just found this site and won my first auction. Oooo, it feels good my Precious...

What to bid on next... Let's check out the samplers and get started. I think there will be a coolerdor on the horizon.

Congrats on your win and more importantly your finding of this site. Say goodbye to retail prices!!

Welcome aboard.

Glad you're already thinking ahead. When I first started I thought a 100-count humidor would be adequate. Yea, for about two weeks! I'm now up to eight humidors, doh!

Picked up a cooler on the way home tonight and a digital hydrometer (visit the RadioShack web site, they have a 50% off coupon for a digital hydrometer bringing it to $10, mine is undergoing the salt calibration tonight in prep for my newly won box.) By the way, the Newbie: read this first post was very helpfull.

Now I have to stock the cooler. Can't let the first win be lonley right? I'm wandering the sampler section to try different things to see what fits my tastes.

My first win was a box of Puros Indios No. 2 Especial for $30 (Lot #192096). I've read a little on them and think I got a pretty good deal. However, I'll have to smoke one once they get here to tell for sure. Any input on this purchase? Be gentle, remember I just started.

Any advice for other cigars I should try would be greatly appreciated. I've had singles that I've liked from Punch, Aturo Furente, Macanudo, and Excalibur. These have been one offs from special occasions or a visit to the local cigar bar. I'm not sure I want to launch into another box purchase just yet since I think I should sample first to see what's worth getting in bulk, and what I should steer clear of.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Hope I don't get too addicted to this site. It could easily make a dent in the credit card.

Definately go for some 5-Packs to taste the different smokes. Go to the Trade Board and connect with a Newbie Trade. Remember to keep Cigar International open so you see their price and remember not to overbid.

Sit down and hang on, cause your in for a ride!!!

BTW Welcome!!!
