I won these recently and are on the way as I write. Just wondering what the prevailing opinion is on these. Never burned one before, looked good so I took a chance on them.

Tim- I think these are very decent smokes especially since you scored them @ 50% off CI sell price..

Enjoy!

A good reasonably priced cigar. Not a stomp-on-your-tongue kind of maduro, like Sharks or MX2s, but a well behaved, tasty one with a natural sweetness. I have won several of those samplers and now you have me thinking of more!

I think they're pretty good. They age well too. This is a cigar that consistently sells way below retail here. Enjoy them while you can get them.

The Astral TVS's are a really good cigar, but like someone said, "not a stomp on your tounge cigar"!

THL got us hooked on these. Used to get the sample here for under $10.00. Ah the good ole days....

I, for one, was disappointed with my TVS robustos.

The construction is great, the look and feel are wonderful. I rather like the standard Astral line, so I expected a lot from this premium line. Too much, as it turns out.

I smoked one OTT and found it tasted too much like a cigarette. Grassy, tobacco-y, and not very pleasant. Smoked another with similar results. Then there was a thread here (last spring, I think) that said these need humi time. I put one into a box pass and have the other two resting. I'll try them in the fall or winter to see if they have improved.

I have purchased several fivers (robusto)on different occasions and enjoyed them. However the last couple I smoked did taste a little grassy. Perhaps my tastes are changin the longer I'm here on cbid. I currently prefer the 5 vegas over the tvs. I have some perdomo sigs restin and believe i also prefer these over the tvs. Similar bids.....

Thanks again BOTL. Now I'm itching for these babies to arrive, should be tomorrow. I hope I have the patience to stuff 'em in the humi for a few days before firing one up.

Got a new dilemma however, I received my heavyweight sampler yesterday and I think I may have to have my wife duct tape me to my chair to keep from digging in to these beauties. I feel like Ulysses being seduced by the sirens!

Yes Luke, come to the dark side...

Very decent cigar ... although I found the flavor profile to be a bit one dimensional ...
