I have had a number of Perdomo cigars, and all of them have been great. I have been looking for a cheaper alternative to their regular lines, and I have a question. Out of the Overuns, the Fresh-Rolled wheels, and the milenario mistakes, which is your favorite? Hopefully a number of you have tried all three and can lend me some advice. Thanks.

Have you smoked Dos Rios? It is another good cigar produced by Perdomo. Dos Rios has been rated as 91 by one publication, described as “A beautiful cigar with a reddish wrapper. It is earthy, toasty and peppery. A pleasant medium-bodied smoke”. Dos Rios uses Nicaraguan and Dominican Republic filler & has an attractive Colorado Ecuadorian wrapper. The Dos Rios is now packaged in boxes of 35 & is usually priced quite reasonably.

I'll second the Dos Rios and also give the Fresh Rolled a nod. Good stuff.

The Milenario Mistakes are excellent. I prefer the Cameroon myself.

I actually have had great luck with the Perdomo Overruns. It's kinda like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get next.

You can select size but you can anything from Milenario to Reserves to Estate, etc.

Cheers,

I too love Perdomo cigars and would like to suggest my favorite Perdomo for the money is The Cigar Pequeno which comes in boxes of 20 not bundles. Here's a description of them:

The Cigar Pequeno is a spicy Nicaraguan puro wrapped in the recently smuggled Havana '98 Criollo wrapper. Lean and racy, this cigar is packed with tastes of peppercorns and spice.

You can get them in corona or toro size for $36 or less delivered.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Sounds like I'll be happy with any of these cigars.

I've gone through two bundles of the P2 mistakes and believe them to be outstanding, especially for the price. Fresh-rolled wheels are always nice, and I've had mixed luck with the overruns: currently have P2 maduros (yum) and previously had a bundle that I didn't care for (just didn't taste like any of the Perdomo lines I was familiar with and didn't care for them). For value, I also enjoy The Cigar by Perdomo and if you can get a hold of a bundle of the Cuban Cafe rejects, they are simply phenomenal. And don't forget to try the Perdomo Cantero--it's outstanding.
