When I got home yesterday, what do you suppose was waiting for me? A FedEx box from our own Jon@CAO with the Anaconda he promised to send me from RTDA, ans a couple of new swag caps! one is this one which I haven't even heard of being out yet! Thank you Jon! BTW, saw your CAO Honey on the other post, and you're a lucky man!

From what I hear this hat won't be offered as swag - you can only get them by buying the Italia.

That is the best lookin of all the CAO hats, what can I say but "hey Jon, how about me"? Begging and groveling will probably get me nowhere, but why not?!?!?!?

Welcome home Clive, Glad to see Jon rewarded you. Too bad you could not have been at the party at RTDA. It was a great time and they were giving out those hard to get hats!

Thank you David! It's looking like I wont be able to make it next year either 😞 I'm probably going to be in the same neighborhood next year. However, Frankie was demonstrating what a FANTASTIC BOTL he is when he sent myself and the herfers among the crew of USS Kearsarge seven boxes of cigars for the trip! We had Signatures, Exodus Gold DC's, Reserva Selecta Torps, Exodus Silver Robusto Cortos, Sweet Memories, Nicaraguan Selection Palmitas (great for a quick smoke!), and 1916 Cameroon Robustos! I wish I could let all the BOTL who contribute to troops anywhere know how much their donations are appreciated! Penzt8 gave me 6-7 boxes of cigars before I left and said I could share them with my fellow sailors (I kicked in a box of Joya De Nicarauguas), but he wanted the bulk to go to the Marines, especially the guys who had already been around Fallujah for awhile. We had a few, and I was going to give the Marines their cigars a day or two before pulling into Kuwait, but had to move that up when Frankies box arrived, because I ran out of storage space! (I took a coolidor) Cpl. Greene says thanks! and he'll make make sure he and his guys share with the guys on the beach already!

Clive,

Where does the time go? Seems like yesterday we were at Cujos. Of course I didn't have to go for a long boat ride so maybe it seemed a little longer to you. Anyway, I'm taking next week off. We'll have to get together one day for lunch.

depends on the day. since we were only gone for three months, they're only authorizing eight day leave periods. I'm going back to work on Monday, but Tuesday, and Friday I think I'm off
