Hey all im new to this board. In the last year started to enjoy the leaf. Im gonna start a coolidor, and just had a question. How much climax beads will a guy need to purchase for the bigger coolers, such as the 110-120quart coolers. I will need the space. All ready won a couple lots, and i never do any thing half ass. Also what do these beads go into? into a covered bowl? I will have my cooler on its side up and down. Will the beads work better in the center, or better on the bottom. Any info would be great thanks and off to enjoy the sweet taste of a pam 64!!!!

Same setup I have right now, I have about 3/4lb of Climmax beads and it works fine. Put them in a tupaware bowl, the shallower the better to allow more surface area over the beads. I have mine in the middle of the cooler but I don't think it really matters. Get yourself a nice digital meter to keep tabs on temp and humidity and the best piece of advice I can give you is to line your cooler with spanish cedar, its amazing how much of a buffer the spanish cedar makes in your humidity spikes.

If you keep enough boxed cigars in the cooler, it eliminates the need for a lining, as the cedar is there, just around the cigars not around the inside of the cooler! I use 90 qt tupperdors/sweaterdors (5)myself, I can set one up for about $12, which leaves me a butt ton o money left to fill it up! Has anyone mentioned how much easier it is to maintain humidity when at least 3/4 of the volume is full (of cigars!)
