Here is the reason I hate UPS, you can even see the packing peanuts they knocked out.

Well, everything in the package seems to be OK. I just have bad luck with UPS here locally.

Steve, thanks for the concern, the only reason anything survived is because of how well you guys packed the box. Trish has changed my shipping preference to USPS Priority as I tend to get better shipping service that way.

Thanks
Rick

CBID is in PA, I'm in MD. They ship to me on Thursday using UPS. The package is on my porch Friday. Twice they shipped to me via USPS. I didn't get those packages until the following Wednesday. I called and requested that they ship all of my packages UPS. Fast, smashed boxes beat slow, smashed boxes.

Rick, I feel your pain. I have had packages smashed with a clearly visible foot print on them. The UPS guy literally rang the door bell and ran back to the truck and was gone before I got to the door. Then it was a hassle to get anyone to do anything about the contents.

Is there a way to change shipping preference to USPS instead of UPS?

Jdllizard,

Send in a request to Customer Service. We'll explain the differences and then make the change for you, if that's what you decide you want.

TubeDoc: Yeah this guy did not even ring the bell, I saw the truck out front as I was walking down the hall, when I opened the door he looked at me and I swear I heard him squeal tires as he rolled off. 🙂

This was probably just some pre-season punting or passing practice.

UPS sucks. If you want something destroyed I say send it UPS. If you want it completly crushed, stomped, leaking and broken just make sure to write the words FRAGLE in big bold, black letters.

My UPS guy would look the same as that box. But having said that, I've never had a bad package from UPS, either. I do know from years in the trucking business that those trucks to the break-bulks look like they put the stuff on with a snowblower. You'd all die if you knew how your freight was handled before it got to you. That's all LTL companies, not just UPS.

Take a look at those Yellow and Roadway doubles on the highway. The trailers look like they've been beaten from the inside with a ball-peen hammer. That's from cramming freight in there so tight you can't pound a needle in with a sledgehammer. Volume is money. Sometimes your package is one that gets "compressed" a bit in the name of more money.
