The one means that she is blocking the "line" on the other teams LEFT side player, her Right. The 2 means angle, so she is blocking the angle shot on the the other teams RIGHT Side player. This allows her partner to know where to cover behind her.....

gorob is correct.. I learned all this while watching my oldest play all over the regional area here and in College... I learned allot watching Volleyball and even almost killed myself playing a few times LOL...
