No, I open them all except for the Balvenie Vintage Casks, those I collect.

I was in London and paid £4 for a Rolling Rock because it was an import lol! I guess the UK can do the same with scotch.

Balvenie just came out with a new 1973 Vintage Cask.

And they came out with a Balvenie 30 too although they haven't answered my email asking what the difference between the VC 1973 and the 30 are. About $450 each if you're interested.

Lets see $450 for a bottle of 30 year old scotch.
The 20 year old runs about $250 (what a bargain)

Tell you what...I'll go and buy 2 bottles on Balvenie 10 year old scotch for $60 hold on to them for 10 and 20 years and impress the same number of people.

(Just a joke...not meant to trash your cool collection. I have a few bottles of wine that I am embarassed to share the price.)

I asked my boss (the head of our labratory) and close friend what the difference was between the Balvenie 30 yr. old and the 1973. Basically he said that the 1973 was a SPECIFIC year, and the 30 year old had to be at LEAST 30 years old. Hence, they could be the same age. I hope that clears it up for you and explains why they might not be so forthcoming in answering your inquiries.
