I had an awesome weekend camping and hanging out with my youngest daughter. Now it seems like summer is over and we are gearing up for the winter season, yuck!! What great things did you all do this summer???

highlight of the weekend was getting to hang out at my sons house. He threw a double keg party. My wife made a load of food (fried rice, lumpia, etc) and my son made burgers and hotdogs. I smoked a few cigars, drank a couple cold ones, and ate some good food. Got to meet a lot of my sons friends for the first time. Lots of pretty young women to talk with.

Tina . . no, no, no, . . do not invoke the winter gods just yet . . last weekend was uneventful, but THIS weekend is the fourth annual Blues At The Crossroads festival in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana . (the crossroads of America was considered to be US41 and US40 in our little town - pre interstate days..sorry, brief history lesson) . . this weekend its live music from noon to midnight..spirits and libations, and a few good smokes . .probably take some trinidads, la perla habana serie r's and whatever else strikes my fancy!!

I didn't do anything but sit around with my knee elevated, and the pain meds upset my stomach so much that a cigar didn't even sound good. But I am cleared by the Doc to get out and do stuff now (off pain meds also), so I will make up for it the rest of this week and weekend.

Loved the history lesson, hey you never know where I might wind up in my travels of life. I'd like to be where its a tad bit warmer. Crisco twister, cant say Ive ever participated in some thing like that. Oh yes I must say I did have a couple sticks myself this past weekend.
