Hello. I currently have a separate humidor for my flavored cigars but was looking for suggestions to keep the different flavors from melding together. I don't have another humidor I can spare. I currently have CAO Honeys and just got some DE Root and Kuba Kubas. Thanks!

Sorry for this one ...

... but I have a 'seperate' humidor for the 'flavored' cigars given to me ...

... it's called a toilet ... 😉

No offense to those easily offended ... but it's just that I can't stand a cigar that has been 'adulterated'. To me, it just ruins the taste of a good aged tobacco ...

Fourthed! Flavored cigars are the smokes of THE DEBBIL!!

However, I do not consider the Natural by Drew Estate to be "flavored."

The Root are actually REALLY good, one of my favorites actually. Definitely something off the beaten path.

That being said, my Natural tin is in my coolidor in its own box.

aw, don't let em' get ya down, unejam.

i like a kuba every once in a while. a kind of change of pace.

suggestion; tupperware works good, but i keep a few in a wood cigar box, with a small amount of wet foam in it.

use it only for your acids.

Thanks blackfoot (and blackfoot ONLY!). Although I do like the "flavored cigars are lame and although I smoke flavored cigars, I don't call them that" approach. 😉

The only "Flavored" cigars that I have are Gurkha (Platinum and Royal Salute) and La Diva's. I like a Cognac smoke every now and then.

I keep them in a pasta jar. You know, glass jar w/ rubber seal around top that has metal snap down.

Low ... I really thought I might enjoy a cognac or a brandy flavored cigar ... hey, I like cigars and I like cognac and/or brandy, so why not? After trying a few and being horribly disappointed, I even tried flavoring my own ... see, I WANTED to like them.

I bought a jar that came equipped with a special device in it that is intended for the purpose ... I didn't skimp, either ... I put in good smokes and added some high quality brandy ... tried one after a week and a second after two ... I let 'em sit for a month before trying another, then two more months before trying a fourth.

I gave the remaining cigars to my neighbor who'll smoke anything ... at least HE liked 'em ...

I've stuck with tobacco flavored cigars ever since ... more power to those of you who like them, it just ain't me.

i have a seperate humi for my Acids and DE and the likes. I keep my DE Natural lines in with my regular smokes. They dont mix. The Kuba for sure keep in a seperate "Flavored" humi.

Enjoy what you like and ignore the trolls comments!

Who you callin' troll ???

That's a term that has negative connotations and is often applied as an insult and is generally used to provoke outrage or discord.

I would be happy to take any flavored cigars that some of you would assume throw away down the toilet. For me it is a nice indulgence from time to time, and I'm not ashamed of liking flavored cigars. Its sort of like inadvertently tapping your foot to a Britney Spears song; just cause it aint your thing, don't mean it sucks. I certainly would not criticize other smokers for their choice of cigar, nor associate the cigars with the lord of the underworld LOL. I HAVE noticed that there are alot of junky flavored cigars out there that DO seem like a waste. They begin with overpowering flavor, which quickly diminishes and leaves the impression of smoking a turd. I think that you still need to start with good quality tobacco, and that even a traditionalist can find interesting notes of flavor in a well prepared aromatic (i.e. ACID). Flavored cigars pose no threat to the cigar-smoking establishment, in fact they help improve our perception by other folks. Case in point; I lit up an ACID Kuba at an outdoor concert once and I could see that many of the people around me were preparing to become annoyed. After a few puffs, their resentment settled and I even was complimented on the aroma I was creating (rare for me!). My fishing buddies love it when I light up a pimp stick, and I don't have to listen to them b@tch about the smoke. In summary, at the end of a long day when I want to relax, I reach for a nice traditional meaty cigar, but I do enjoy a little desert from time to time.

fish, Liz doesn't like Brazilias, but she likes the Italias ok too! They are really close to me, but the Italia IS a bit sweeter. I like an occaisional flavored cigar, but I hate most DE's Naturals are OK, but if you are going to smoke flavoreds, go with CAOs. As has been pointed out, many flavoreds are flavored to cover up the taste of a crappy cigar. But CAO starts out with a good cigar and adds to it. I like the Cuban Honeys, Kaluhas, and (although they are not really flavored, they ARE somewhat adulterated by sweetgum on the cap) Baccarats, and Carbonells.

i like my cigarsto taste of only one thing - TOBACCO. I do enjoy cognac while I smoke and fine cognac with a good cigar beats any cognac flavored cigar everytime, Gurkhas included.
