Hey folks, this here's Harrison Kyle. He was born Sept. 27, 2004(Monday).
While all births are miracles to me, I just wanted to share Harrison's story.
My wife and I went to have one of those new-fangled ultrasounds done in August and were referred to a specialist because our doctor thought she saw something wrong with his wrist.
We went to the specialist and he showed us the problem. Harrison was missing three fingers on his right hand - a problem made more apparent by the fact my cousin was born the same way.
Needless to say, we were upset. We cried for a week or two until we realized that he was given to us for a reason and many people have problems much worse than missing fingers - we were just ready to get the little sucker.

Well, we got him. We got him and his ten fingers and toes! Miracles happen folks, I'm telling ya. I'm not a very religious person, at all, but I know what I saw in those pictures and I know we had a lot of people praying for him(and us).

Sorry so long...but I'm just so dang happy I wanted to share.

Meanwhile, back to your panicked story...one name: Bree Walker.

What obstacles she overcame...I don't know the name of the birth defect, but she really doesn't have any fingers to speak of. One of her kids was born with it also...she says that she never (of course) knew any different! And oh, yeah, sex sells. She was in an ad for a local radio station here in San Diego back in the late(?) '70's...

Congrats! That was a beautiful story, dude. It's all I could do to hold back the tears.

I have a 2 1/2 year old girl and she was born with slightly underdeveloped lungs. Thank God I only had to spend about 3 hours in the ICU with her til her breathing normalized. Those were still some of the best hours of my life watching her fight and win. She just seemed so tough. I knew she would pull through.

Since that moment, I have been at ease with her. I know she's damn tough.

I'm sooooo happy to hear your success story. May there be many others.

Thank you Jesus from who all blessings flow! Miracles do happen and prayer does change things. He created the universe and holds it in his hands and He can make fingers grow on a baby, that's AWESOME congratulations !

Thanks folks. I truely feel blessed. I'll never be able to express to those that prayed and cried for us exactly how I feel, but I do know that I'll never be able to look at another child - disabled or not - the same way again.

mrtelecom - the ultrasound was in mid-Aigust, the birth in early September. There were some scary pics and I DO NOT recommend anyone getting those new ultrasounds - the pics can be awful.

sketcha - I feel your angst. Dude, I'm very happy that your little one pulled through. They are tougher than we give em credit for sometimes.

dapperdan - like I said earlier, I'm not very religous, but I have no other explanation from what I saw to what was delivered to us other than God wanted it to be..

DrMaddVibe - Driving? He'd better get a job first! All my money is going to C-bid 🙂
