Foot aside, this photo shows the, at least to me, amazing phenomenon of the abdominal stripe that appears to varying degrees in pregnant females. Notice the light tan line that runs vertically, intersecting the belly button. In some females, my ex-wife included, this stripe turns very dark, sometimes dark brown or almost black. It's like a vestigial remnant, a flag of sorts, advertising the female's pregnancy, for any number of speculative evolutionary reasons.

I have yet to evolve....never had the stripe...

Landing stip indeed!! Requesting permission Ma'am. The stripe is a vestige. Having no stripe suggests a brain sufficiently evolved to consciously decide whether advertising pregnancy, or keeping it secret would be more advantageous.

My wife had a very dark stripe - I always thought it was cool. Women's bodies are just amazing when they are pregnant.
