Thought I'd post a pic of the cigars from the Fuente Benefit. The Raffle smokes are very special... Made just for the event. They only sent one pack of the two to all 100 smoke shops. The friend I brought with me won them. He happened to buy his tickets before me. So my number was one off. heheh Any way he's storing them in my humi.

This is the reason i have fallen out of love with the Fuente's. Once again it seems they are in the market to make "collector cigars". Is there any reason why these would smoke any different than the other OPUS or DC Max?

Went to the benefit in Albany NY .I bought 4 tix and got 8 gars what a deal. I smoked 2 of each. The other 4 I will smoke soon.

Can someone please clarify. Did you actually buy additional raffle tickets for the two special cigars, or was the $50 donation your raffle ticket?

The shop where I went to participate in the Toast didn't mention the raffle at all, so I emailed them asking about it after I saw this post. I got a wishy washy explanation to the effect of one of their regulars offered the owner $120 for the two special cigars.(he claimed the $120 was an additional donation to CFCF, but at this point I am a bit pessimistic).

I realize the whole event was for a good cause, but am I wrong to be a bit annoyed? I would have liked to have a chance at the two additional cigars.

It's all a scam on some level anyway. They only have to give 10% of donations by law.

The Raffle was seperate from the main ticket. We paid 5 bucks for one ticket and you could buy as many as you wanted. All of the Raffle money went to the charity as well. I would be pissed to find out later that I wasn't allowed to buy a ticket.

Thank, Slim. Every dollar of the 50 we paid to attend went to the charity as well. Fuente paid for the FFOX and DC Max that were given to all who attended. Two unreleased figurados.

They showed a film of a school that was built by the charity, paid for with five dollar chances to win unreleased, collectable cigars.

I'd say that was a good thing
