this is about the most angering news i have read in a long time..........would like to have the address of the people who levied these fines!!!!! pat tillman was obviously a fine athelete with more character than most. honoring his memory should not be met with fines......maybe rewards are more in order here. i have been to ranger school and anyone who would give up a multi-million dollar nfl contract to do that is alright in my book.....maybe not mentally right, but alright nevertheless.

Just another example of the hypocrisy of Professional sport. The NFL allows a player convicted of cocaine trafficing to continue to play (see Jamal Lewis), a player who killed a woman in a DUI accident, and MLB and the Atlanta Braves let a player who has multiple DUI's and was sentenced to jail play in the playoffs and THEN serve his sentance. It PI$$ES me off!!

I wish more players in the league would wear the sticker in support of an American Hero.

Not really too upsetting to me. The NFL has a rule and they are inforcing it, dispite the sincere sentiment of the act. If he chooses to tribute his fallen team mate he accepts the concequence (Thats what I would do - He?l the hole team should do it). BTW that 5000.00 fine is like 5.00 to you and me. It's a no brainer. Keep it on all season bro.

The NFL can change any rule they like or interpret them as they see fit, as has been evidenced on many occasions. This is beyond a player wearing the wrong color socks or a do-rag. These are players paying tribute to a fallen comrade who made the ultimate sacrifice. It's not about the amount of money. It's about the abrogation of the NFL's responsibility as a corporate citizen in America. If the utter hypocrisy and stupidity of this doesn't rattle your cage, there's nothing more I can say.

So... if you know this isn't trade realted why do you choose to put it in the trades then?

If people would simply STOP buying tickets to the games, and call or write the TV advertisers and tell them they are boycotting their products for sponsoring such a hypocritical organization, maybe they'ld change their tune!
