incidentally helen thomas will be 90 on aug 4, and respect for her goes beyond her age. she has seen more presidents come and go then you could name.

she started as a journalist when she was 22, and she was the first woman accepted, and becoming president of the White House Correspondents Association.

she has traveled the world with Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.

she is so well respected she is given unlimited respect by her peers and is the only one that has her own chair in the white house press room.
