usaf 1953 to 1957 active duty, honorable (hard to believe) discharge (not from a body part) 1961 after reserve, from the military. was an e-2 at the time. that means over 90 days in the service and no stripes to ruin the sleeves of my silver-tans... had a lot of article 15's as you would expect, mostly for insubordination, as you would expect. got busted so many times, i stopped sewing on stripes. i did appear as a character witness for a buddy being court marshaled the day after i got busted at a time when i did sew on and remove stripes. i thought i looked good with thread hanging from my shirt sleeves.

If we do our homework...we would see Rick got his Honorable Discharge.

But on the other hand....most people wouldn't brag about their stupidity of youth as if it were not a learning experience, but a moment of truimph over authority.
The only battle over authority you ever won was between your ears. Don't think for a second that most of the people you were insubordinate to did not forget you soon after you left the room.

Just like I said, GW and Rick two peas in a pod, both disrespected authority in their youth. GW received an Honorable Discharge from the Air Force and went on to become President of the United States and Rick after being discharged sold some kind of insurance for a living.

Yes, but was Rick ever unaccounted for in Alabama? Was he ever responsible for running a countries economy into the ground? Did he, or one of his minions ever author a Communist, I mean Patriot Act? Was he ever responsible for the death of 25,000+ innocent civilians? No matter who is elected president on Tuesday, we must all remember that they are part of the "Machine" and we must question every thing that they do. If anyone on this forum thinks that a pol, an pol gives a a flying f about any of us you are delusional!! They are only interested in either getting re-elected or serving whatever political interest is next on their favor list! Just because someone professes faith in God does not mean that they cannot kow tow to what ever special interest group has greased their political wheels! Nor should ones professed faith in God be the soul basis on how you cast your vote! There have been a lot of sick people who have professed a faith of one kind or another. Proof, please. May I point out that I think that all politicians are pos. Power mad people that for the most part are only interested in helping those who elected them if there is a photo op or it is time to be re-elected. I would like real proof and not just a bunch of right wing crap that seems to profligate in this forum. For that matter it seems that the dems are getting to be almost as agile as the repugs at twisting the truth. It was a lesson that was hard to learn, but they are getting the gist of it.I guess they got tired of getting beat up by the Mitch McConnells, Newt Gingichs, Lee Atwaters and Karl Roves of this world.

Hizzonor the Mayor of Chicago was his campaign manager, and Hizzonors son was Al Gores campaign manager!
