I just realized those are being served in a maple bar donut:

^ OMG, that might just be overkill, but that maple would complement the smoky bacon.

I prefer chili, cheese and onions on my dog.

Bacon on the side.

#4 The Donut House, in Anacortes, WA makes those, too. Finally took my wife to see the Holy Grail of donuts a bit out of the way of my normal route to/from the satellite office Friday (she wanted to go up there to see the beauty of the area...she went up top while I slept in the truck). Her eyes just about popped out...huge double-size buttermilk bars, fritters damned near the size of manhole covers (half of one was breakfast for her Sat...the other half Sun). Huge donuts of other sizes, shapes and concoctions. We also got a couple of weirdo donuts...regular size, normal toppings.

It's a very good thing I don't live closer to that place. XXXL clothes wouldn't beging to cover me.

One of the things I miss about living in L.A. was the Mexican dudes pushing carts around selling these. Bacon wrapped hot dogs with fried onions and red and green peppers. DAMN that **** was good.
