What do you think will be the change in the number of Congressional Seats in Congress.....gains and loses?🇨🇮

I say Republicans will pick up 9 seats in the Senante and around 75 in the House of Representatives......what say you.

I don't know about the rest of the country, but I can tell you about ND.

We currently have 2 dems in Senate and 1 dem in House.

After the next election we will have 1 Republican and 1 dem in Senate and 1 Republican in House.

R's pick up 55 in the House and 6 in the Senate, at least. I'm not being overly optimistic because I've been watching the ads in Michigan and Ohio, and the Dems have rolled out every previous dirty ad, plus tons of new angles.

Even the normal "He profited from greed and job loss and fat cats and wall street, and social security will end and all seniors will go to the gas chamber" seems a little more frequent and over the top. But what the hell - it's not like the Democrats have anything to campaign on that's positive. Hard to run on a record of job loss, inflation, recession, corruption, bail-outs, foreclosures, decimated retirement plans, and impending higher taxes - all the things they promised 4 years ago they'd fix. Well, not taxes, of course.

I know the ads work on an 8-year-old. My daughter watches each one and says "I'm not votiing for him - he's bad". I leave it to you all to extrapolate that to the voter population as you wish.

I haven't seen the "black churches will burn" ads this time around, but I think they may be saving those for El Presidente Bobblehead's vain attempt to not be a one-hit wonder.

I think the election night this year will be more interesting to watch than 2008's. I think there are going to be surprises and upsets. It is very hard to know how motivated voters truly are this time around - especially the Dems - vs. how many have just given up on both sides. I know like many, I'm sick of the "establishment" on both sides.

According to uncleb, no one actually runs for political office as the seats of Congress are a privileged. So, all this speculation is moot.
