My daughter gave me this for Christmas some years back; finally found it in a box I was unpacking (amazing how stuff disappears.) I suppose you could use it as a 'dor if you put a humidifier in the lid. Cool jar tho. Anyone else have one? Or know what they're worth? Thinking of putting it on that "other" auction site....can't recall the name of it...

Since you daughter gave it to you, I'd save it and put matches or bands in it.

I have a ceramic Monte one - I never use it.

I'd save it like they said.

Does the lid have some flange or membrane type thing to seal it when the lid fits onto the jar? I got a large jar like that when I bought some Montecristo Delacroix Platinums. The inside of the lid has cork and a plastic washer thing. I wouldn't guess yours is worth a lot unless it's really old. I've seen many of these for sale on auction sites, they're kind of like collector's items. Usually the ones that are old and shaped like something, say a head or an animal, tend to pull down the highest prices, anywhere from $20 to a few hundred bucks, depending on their age and novelty.

I would save it also. If I received anything cigar related from a family member I would save it. If it was a cigar I would probably never smoke it.

Besides I think it is a very nice looking jar.
