When I first started looking around for cigars, I just looked for perfectos (the more things change... ). One of the first I discovered (informationally anyhow) was Toppers Oscuros. They appealed because of the shape, price, and American manufacture. I never jumped because I was reticent to buy machine mades (all tobacco, no HTL though, with surprisingly good reviews), and I could only find boxes of fifty (too many for an untried). I could never find them localy, so I never tried them (but I always held a soft spot for some reason). I recently found out about Topper Cosmos (mostly perfecto sizes, made by Caribe). The search started again with more success this time. Now I've got this selection of Topper Oscuros, Honduran Handmade (also made by Caribe), and Cosmo Bully (not one of the perfectos, but if it works out, they will come). Long winded, I know, but here's the picture. Reviews will be forthcoming.

Those are my Camacho rep's brand. Dave Topper is a great guy.

How were those Topper Perfecto Oscuros? I have been curious as well. Looking for a curve ball!

Red, if your still interested in trying the american made, all tobacco...I have a couple that I can send to you that are made in the same factory as the toppers. Just give me an addy.

They are certainly distinctive. I'll smoke another to freshen my impressions, and will elaborate then. JH, if you mean the Rosedales (sp?), I've had the pleasure.
