Yow, the scanner did not do this thing justice. It's not nearly as mis-shapen as this. In fact, it's very well built (smells good too). So even if it's not the long sought Canary, I think it will be pretty nice.

If you are going for the great Napa Reserves made in Canary Islands......fuhgedabutit!!!!

That ain't the one! They are/were one of the greatest of all cigars, and I only wish I had a few boxes of them.

Nope ...

... looks like the Napa Estate by H. Upmann, and it's better than the Napa Reserve by Don Diego, but it doesn't even come close to the one from the Canary Islands.

Though many swear that Cuban farm tobacco was used as the filler an binder, the compnay claimed the 'Canary Island' had filler that was primarily from the island of La Palma ... with Dominican binder and just a touch of Mata Fina tobacco from Brazil to get the blend just right. It was then encased with a silky Indonesian-grown Sumatran wrapper ...

... and it was a solid performer!

Like I said, the scanner must have caught it at a weird angle or something, as it looks much better in person. I didn't think it was the one, but with all the talk through the years, I felt compelled to buy it. I've done worse.
