Poll Question: Will Trump run for president, and will he win?

I always liked this part of the final sentence of the Gettysburg Address. "that government of the people, by the people, for the people".
Our public servents used to be business people, scholars, men of action (military)and substance, why are they all lawyers now?
Very few lawyers own their own practices and have ever had to meet a payroll or bid a contract, even look at a P&L of the company where they work.
He is a Populist (not always a good thing) and that will keep away many conservitives and scare the far left but maybe it will work out okay with him at them helm.
I would hate to see him split the conservitives and let BHO win again.

35 of the 55 delegates to the constitutional convention were lawyers.
26 out of our 44 Presidents have been lawyers including numbers 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16.
Only 2 out our last 12 have been lawyers.

And George W. Bush is the only President who was a businessman before becoming President.

So, hmmm, use that info to form an opinion.

If they say things as inane as some of your posts, getting sued is the least of any body's problem.

LOL- ahhh common, Jack's posts are entertaining. You forget he's a visitor from a different dimension.

As far as Bush being a "businessman". He's about as much of a businessman as Corey Feldman's or Gary Coleman's folks (take your pick). This oil man couldn't find oil on Jerry Lewis's head. EVERYTHING he touched turned to crap despite daddy's money & connections.

I just have no interest in aligning my self with the fools in charge of the Lliberal Wing. They have lost their Minds..

Unlike many of our politicians (and cbid posters), you speak your mind, Jack. Most say what they want us to hear. Not you though.
We may not always agree on our politics but I would vote for a fun, straight shooter like you ANYTIME w/o blinking an eye and with absolutely no regrets, my friend.🇨🇮

Like I've said...he's a fraud.

I like Mark Levin. He's got a great mind that performs strikes with logical precision. I was not impressed by his argument against Trump however.

I don't like people who play both sides but Trump's reason for contributing to the Shumers (sp?) of the world for business reasons(?) is a reflection of how the world actually works. It's also similar to Dubya's motives in walking hand in hand with a Saudi prince, announcing that Islam is a great religion, and brazenly telling us that the Iraqui war will be paid for by oil revenues and is in our best interest to fight- that and bailing out Wall Street a la Obama. The difference being, that Trump is successful and more direct. Most politicians don't have business sense & lack the propensity for generating revenues resulting in a vibrant economy. I believe that Trump can do that. For one thing, he's not everyone's friend (aside from contributing to both sides of the aisle) like the typical politician running, and appears genuinely angry at China. He'd call out his adversaries for what they are, NOT pussyfoot around with semantics and fake manners. That's good IMO.

I would consider Ron Paul but don't know enough about him other than he appears to be an honest man who walks to the beat of a different drummer even when he believed that the Twin Towers were an "inside" job (shades of crazy Carlos Sheen). That, and the fact, that he lacks the personality to energize people other than yourself in order to defeat an attractive, empty suit like Obama.

Trump boldly points out the obvious about Obama and his inept administration. He also gets and knows how to manipulate the media attention. You need the media exposure in order to get your message out & to win.

Doc, I'm listening to Mark Levin as I type... $50k to Rohm Emmanuel recently, also given to Shumer, Reid, Weiner, etc. ... You two are beginning to wear me down... (sigh) LOL

Problem is, I don't know anyone else who can take on our real enemy- CHINA!!
I think the Chinese would lub their hands in glee after meeting with Lon Paul.

Where is the "God I hope not" option? But it is starting to look like it with all the posturing he's doing.
