70 % more or less of the country do not want to change
either medicare of social security. the republicans blew
district 26 in new york and elected a democrat for the
first time in 70+ years and had to spend a ton of money
to accomplish failure.

what drives them into such idiotic behaviour. they are
either stupid or so intrenched in their ideology, they
can't think rationally.

nothing they are working onhas anything to do with
helping the country recover from the financial collapse
caused by the rich trying to get richer.

if you give a "middle class" family an extra couple of
hundred bucks, every month, the money would be
circulating through the economy. if you give a wealthy
family a couple of thousand extra each month, since
they can afford to live comfortably on what they had
available, it would not cause them to spend any of that
extra money.

now the republicans are heavily into women's vaginas,
attempting to eliminate roe vs wade. part of the country
like the idea of eliminating abortions.

they are called christians and they have no business
telling other people what to do.i

i am glad i never had to face the abortion problem, but i
wouldn't want any input from anyone but my wife, and
not people who think people lived alongside dinosaurs.

sarah is now trying to fill the sarahpac bank balance so
she can steal more money from you religious schmucks

the tea party has had it's day. they played in the major
league and couldn't hit a curve.

when president obama wins his second term he will
have both houses and only his good graciousness will
prevent him from telling the republicans to STFU, no one
is interested in their self destrucion.

i hope ensign does time and his "adviser" coburn gets
thrown out on his a s s.

scott whatever, governor of florida, if he is handed a
recall petition will loose the recall and allen grayson will
take his place as governor of florida. they will lose an
idealogue to be replaced by some one with a three digit
iq,

now you all can show me how smart you all are by talking
like a bunch of dumb a s s e s instead of trying to refute
anything i have said.

very truly yours,

You know Rick, I am religious and registered as a Republican... I hate abortion... However, I absolutely do not have the right to tell someone else what they can or cannot do with their body...

I do not agree with most of what the Republicans are doing, and I agree with nothing the Democrats are doing...

I believe that you take care of your own house, if someone else needs help, extend a hand up.... I also believe that what happens on your side of the fence is your business, and what happens on my side is mine.... Too many people are worried about controlling what the other guy is doing and not tending to their own business, exactly what is going on in the Government...

You should step back and take a look at yourself Rick... These posts make you look ridiculous, from the colored font, to the off the wall things you post...

I am but a lowly mechanic Rick who busts my knuckles and my tail to earn a living... I see how much goes out to support public programs, and frankly Rick, it pisses me off...

I take offense to the generalization, and term religious schmucks...

Why is it that you and others that think like yourself have to call names and belittle other people to get by? Is it because you don't have the substance of whipped cream? Or maybe you are just so far more intelligent than the rest of us that we just don't get it... I would be willing to believe you believe it is the latter don't you Rick...

And, I have difficulty agreeing with either the libs or the conservatives right now. I think both have officially gone off the deep end and are pursuing THEIR own interests, not ours. It's a pissing contest to see who can out-stupid the other and I'm not sure who is winning right now.

I find it sad that I have to feel this away about my country.......

did you agree when the democrats raised the minimum wage?

did you agree when the democrats threw out "don't ask, don't tell.?

do you wonder why we are the only industrialized nation on the planet does not offer medical care to
all it's citizens?

i don't believe you are one of the religious schmucks, but my reference doesn't sound like you are
in the group i generalized.

i don't know about others. but calling a group of religious schmucks by my title, is mild compared
to what i have been called and pointed to a specific group. remember it isn't libel if it is true.

you are free to take offense at anything you feel is offensive, you do not need anyone's permission.

why would you demean yourself because you think you are a lowly mechanic., when i need a
mechanic, he is a god, because he can fix my problem.

how much goes out to support public programs and how much either goes out or doesn't come in
to provide support for corporations that make lots of money and do not pay their share of taxes.
are you offended by general electric a corporation that pays nothing to support the country where
it makes it'sw profit.

i look forward to hearing more from you, but i still have to put up with people like poster #5, who

#1. Nope, minimum wage should not be a living wage, but a starting point to grow out of. Don't care if the Dems or Rep did it...

#2. I believe that your preference is you business. Keep it to yourself. The only reason for someone to say LOOK AT ME I AM GAY!!!! is to gain something from it. I have no problem with someone who chooses to be gay, just don't expect to get ahead BECAUSE you are gay... Get there on merit...

#3. Rick, the real problem is the price of medical care and insurance no? If it was affordable, we wouldn't have to "offer" it as an entitlement now would we? Usually you get a better product if you pay for it yourself rather than someone else paying for it for you...

#4. Don't generalize...

#5. So, because somebody else does it, you should do it? Two wrongs don't make a right Rick...

#6. You are correct, I can take offense to anything that offends me... I try and live my life as not to step on toes or offend...

#7. It was a little sarcasm... I take pride in my work. I work with my father in a business that has been around since 1952. I don't want to be referenced to as God... I am NOT and would never claim to be...

#8. Too much goes out to support the un-needy... Those truly in need I have no problem with... You want to make vilify Corporations... I never understood why we are punished for working. We should tax on expenditures not income. From what I understand, GE makes MOST of it's money overseas and pays taxes to those countries because GE is smart enough to do most of it's business in countries more business friendly than the U.S so no, it does not offend me that they payed no taxes... Again Rick, worry about yourself... If you want to be rich and get all of the "tax breaks" then go be rich...

Rick, there is a lot of joking and some jabbing that goes on here. Some do it just to get under other's skin, and some are just being funny... In my opinion, the Dems are just as guilty as the Reps at destroying America.

At the end of the day, you and I will more than likely not agree with each other, nor will we be able to change one another's mind or way of thinking.

Rick, the problem with your post is of course your post! It is basically impossible to have a rational debate over almost any issue here because basically nobody wants too.. Your posts are basicaly rants, which of course will be replied to as such.. People here on the right don't want to hear people's views from the left etc etc.. And visa versa... So basically almost all political posts here turn into this

I happen to agree with you that the Republican party is heading for a train wreck if they don't put a a plan on Midicare and Social Security that will fly with people over 50. All anyone has to do is look at the population mix. What I don't understand is why the Republicans are not addressing this. And if they are CLEARLY explaining it. As a 57 year old Republican I can say i could be voting for democratic candidates for the first time in 30 plus years if the party keeps on this course. I 100% agree both Social Securiy and Medicare need to be addressed, but a plan must be done that will actually work for both the young and the people closer to retirement. You change the game in the 8th inning and expect people to buy into it.. A viable plan would probably be someting like anyone over 55 is grandfathered into the current program, people 50 to 55 probably should have a choice of the new program or say 75 to 85% of the old program and those under 50 I guess will be stuck with the new program.. You just can't have what you cant pay for... But if the people closer to retirement are not addressed there will clearly be voter push back. I guess the popular political speak would be to say it's a 3rd rail issue. Scare older Americans with the fear of cutting their benefits, and they simply are going to vote for the party that says they won't. While many here will post a long winded rant how selfish this is etc... Basically it is what it is.. And everyone knows it or certainly should

I really have no idea what the fuss is with Rick Scott? He is doing EXACTLY what he said he would. while I agree that some of what he is doing is probably wrong, he is just taking the business approach that says yon can't spend what you dont have! I guess many of the people are upset with him just didn't listen to what he said prior to being elected...There are no surprises here...

Sorry for the attempt of a rational reply, and I know I should have just done what I usually do which is to read, snicker, and just jump over to another board.. But hey I'm bored..

3. are you not aware that i pay for medicare monthly? i

only 80% of the medicare charge and the doctor is free

i also have to pay for any supleemental insurance for
coverage that is not paid for by medicare.

both toby and i have reached the age, as you will if you

8. how have you determined the amount of money that is

it is not necessary for either of us to convince the other

is try to understand the other's point of view and

The republicans are having a tough sell on the Ryan plan, which have driven many former teapartiers, those under 55, away from the teaparty. It will be interesting to watch the 2012 elections, if the republicans can find a candidate, that the party faithful can stomach, and that will appeal to independents. Right now, I see no one emerging from the primaries that independents will vote for.

Can you determine where a dollar goes once payed out in taxes?
