The time for truth has long passed. People want to hear how they are going to get a government windfall and how someone else is going to get their ox gored.
The truth is everybody who receives any sort of government payment is going to get less regardless of what they think they paid in and are entitled to receive and in addition, everyone is going to pay significantly more in taxes. Try to sell that truth.
