4:00 in the morning, Jack has been fussy all night. Wife's night to sleep. How does this kid know when I'm trying to catch a few winks? Sit at the computor he's sound asleep, watch tv, sound asleep. Lay down? Wide awake and crying! Hopefully we'll be able to go home in a few days.

3 to 4 months my kids did not sleep through the nite untill 2 years! The shift thing helps, glad to see your a involved dad.

DD 2 years no way, sounds like my sister's kids. My first 3 were sleeping through the night by 3 months we'll see how Ryan does.

hehe my 4.5 month old has selp thru the night since he was born! We are very fortunate. Good luck to you ... they sleep in cuycles and they are ever changing... so your baby will get on another cycle and be up more during the day. Good looking kid !!! congrats... btw... i found it was easier for me to stay up rather than cat nap so i always went outside with the baby monitor and a good cigar and had an hour of solitude.

my twins are 10 months old and the wife and I couldn't trade shifts, rather we endured 3 months of sleepless wonder. BUT, it will change and wait until that first morning you wake and realize you've slept all night....you will panic and run to the baby to find everything is fine.

One more thing I learned 34 years ago; the kid probably won't go right back to sleep so just strap him in his car seat and go get a coffee and donut. The ride shoul put him out and the donuts are real tasty at that time in the morning.

This picture is awesome! He is bright eyed and bushed tailed for 4:00 AM. It's funny how they know, but give it some time and be patient. Who knows, maybe he'll sleep through nite sooner than later.

Cycle-

As said earlier, when all else fails, get him in the car seat, works about 99% of the time. He is a cute little guy. Good Luck!
