Meet my third gator friend for 2011. He was 9 feet 8 inches long and weighed about 350 lbs. He was the 'smallest' one for the year weight wise but was the second 9'8" one in a row. My first for the year was 9'4" but weighed over 400 lbs.Gator3.JPG

He's still swimming I guess. I don't know why you keep playing with the little ones...the bigger ones are more fun to play with!! And yes, I only do it legally, here in South FL. It's a bit pricey but worth it overall!

BTW, no boat was used taking this or any of my gators this year...or any year from 2007 to the present. They are allowed only if they have no motor so I choose to bring them to me on shore...but as you can see from my wet leg, I have to meet them somewhere in between sometimes. 🇨🇮

Okay, I cheated... Two fishing poles and a 'bang stick'. It only took 2 and a half hours to put him in the truck using all that equipment.

It's cold here too...didn't get above 90 all week!!! Don't feel too bad, I'll be in the Chicago area for work next week...then I'll have to adapt!!!

I have lived in Great Lakes and Zion (about a year total time) in the past...Navy, of course...so I know it will be chilly, but thanks for the warning. I'll be ready for it. My brother still lives there...also retired Navy...and he always complains (or as he calls it, "keeps me updated") about the cooler weather up there!!

Absolutely interested, but I'll have to let you know. I'll have to see what the first day of testing brings...I will let you know one way or the other on Tuesday the 18th. I should know by then if I will have some free time...
