Life isn't fair. The reality is the upper class and middle class both are going to have to pay more taxes so that we can balance the budget and pay off the national debt. You can't tax the others because they have no money.

The problem is the word "fair". The word should be eliminated from the conversation. The Federal Income Tax has never been "fair" and never will be. It is the only Federal tax that is not a flat tax.

I've said it before and I'll say it again......two years from now everyone will pay an extra 5% on their taxes from what they pay today. This tax increase is already set in motion. Don't blow all your disposable income. When I say 5% I don't mean a 5% tax increase to the amount you pay. I mean an additional 5% of your income.

47% - Its bullzhit and Wheel knows it. Or he is ignorant.

A disabled vet or an 80 year old woman pays lots of taxes (sales, property, etc.) so they might get a net zero on one of their taxes – income. Wheel is saying that children living on social security because their parents were killed don’t pay enough tax. And he is poor because the old or disabled don’t pay as much as he does (but he is not whining).

47% of the nation are 27 year old able bodied men who despite their government college loans simply don’t want to work – well maybe it’s only 45%. Right?

And don’t touch the billionaires – They don’t actually work, so they don’t really have a tax on their labor. But we should build them statues and be thankful – because without them we would not even have seed to sow in the fields (Monsanto owns the patent on corn you know).

Actually I think that 47% of households don't pay Federal Income Tax is an IRS published statistic.

You're trying to blur it with talk of property and sales taxes that some little old lady pays.

Why should a disabled vet or a little old lady or kids whose parents were killed not have to pay their fair share of taxes?

Well then you are officially the first business owner I've ever encountered that is 100% honest on their taxes.

My ex father in law grossed about 100K a year and paid maybe $1,500 a year in Federal income taxes. His accountant was a former IRS agent.

My old boss would write paper receipts for any sale over $30. Anything under $30 was rung up on the register, which was what he submitted to the IRS.

I know another guy who sub contracts construction projects. He's only going to claim what he got a 1099 on, which has been like 5 small projects so far this year.

Now...if people who only make 100-200K per year can do this, what kind of stuff can someone who makes 100 million a year get away with?

If what you say is true, and the top 5% pay most of the Federal taxes (I highly doubt it), then you're right. It's not fair.

We do need tax reform. And we will get it. And it won't help. It will make things worse. What the lefties and the OWS crowd don't seem to comprehend is that taxing the sh*t out of the rich only worked until we struck free trade agreements with half the 3rd world.

And If you've ever had the IRS send you and unregisterd letter claiming that you owe $100k+ in Taxes and had 5 days to respond or they would commence the assessment. Then ,having to endure two audits in which I was vindicated, then you would understand.

And,I am correct about the 5 %.do some research...
