Welcome to my world Robert. I enjoy some of his posts and I'll admit he humors me at times as well. But reasonable two way conversation is an impossibility with him on political issues.

Now be prepared for woe is me, me against the world anger.

Is what I said and yes, I don't think that is all that bad a response to:

"what non-Catholic has the right to be critical of its usefulness?"

If you are of the opinion that rights of speech should be curtailed in this way, you should expect to be spoken to in this way. If you typed the wrong word or something you could correct it. Simple stuff.

And your just upset that someone's picking on your religion of choice, which I guess is understandible but their choice to cover up for decades if not centuries their appetite for little boys IS disgusting!!! And as far as I'm concerned all they did is sweep it under the rug when it was divulged to the World. I'm with Fuzz on this one in that I believe that organized religion is a farce.
The whole premise that Catholic priests should remain celibate only lends itself to this problem. Then there was /is the expectation that if a family is in crisis they should talk to their parish priest.....A man who's Never been married, does not have children ultimately has ZERO real life experiences, yup that's who I'm gonna go to to discuss my problems....#-o

Quite frankly my belief is that ANYTIME man has his hand in anything, he cannot help but manipulate it to ensure the outcome he is looking for........

Anyone who takes the writings of the Bible as verbatum I think is just foolish, man (Kings and other rulers) have been adding/removing things from it for centuries. So who's to say what's true and what is not?

RED HERRING!!!

You morphed the issue of criticizing one's choice of a particular religion into the suggestion that I think free speech rights should be curtailed and that I, therefore, don't deserve to be spoken to civilly. What a farce. There is no talking with or to you.

Actually we weren't discussing the issue of criticizing the choice of a particular religion at all. You questioned my "right" to critisize a religion I did not practice, which of course I have and everyone else does as well. Religion is not a topic that is an exception and using the word 'right' in the context is probably not the best thing to have done on your part either as that carries with it a specific meaning.
