The media is only marginally paying attention. The politicians are not. The "Declare victory through raising awareness" trick is not going to work.

You're so smart. I was trying to 'trick' and you caught it. You are like a dog who won't fall for the 'go get the snack I pretended to throw' trick. You are so clever.

Now you're just being bitchy again.

Remember all the rhetoric.....the game is rigged. Wall Street is cheating. Upward redistribution of wealth.

Wall Street and the politicians are all in league with the evil 1%ers.

You'll settle for people talking about it.

If you all feel as strongly as you pretend to, you all should get off the couch and head down to the park.

With the caveat that it's purely your opinon on the "pretend to" statement, probably the same reason that those who rail with equal or greater fervor on this board at the current president's administration as the living embodiment of Nazi Anti-christ evil driving America into socialist moral relativist hell don't go storm the White House or even picket it.

Certainly the strength of comments on this board and other online forums is partly a function of retaliatory escalation and the tendency of the internet to allow people the freedom to be less temperate than they would be face to face. But that doesn't invalidate the core of those feelings

Damn, I can't get anything right huh? I'm so depressed. I guess you are saying I should want what then, revolution? Do I have to be for violent revolution to be serious enough? Wait, that's not good enough, I need to actually lead the violent revolution and kill the rich to think the issues are serious for you to approve of me having an opinion.

Fine crap on Perot. But it doesn't change the fact that we live in a society where more people can tell you what Kim Khardassian or Lindsey Lohan or Paris Hilton had for lunch than can name their states senators or their rep in the house. It's sad but true.. It's as much about the messenger as it is the message.

Ok, that I agree with. Not sure what that has to do with your position though. People are complacent. That complacency has lead to this wretched situation. Now we have people who are trying to bring attention to these issues and they are shaking people out of complacency and the only thing you see is dancing hippies.

You are perfectly welcome to be depressed. A number of big pharmaceutical companies make lots of expensive medicine for that. You are more than welcome to have an opinion. At some point, however, you may want to consider actually doing something about it. Until then, your opinion is hollow, and the game is still rigged and "they" are laughing at you. Just wait until we pass a flat tax and redistribute even more money upward. We'll do it right in your face and you still will do nothing!

I'm guessing vote Democrat!

Wrong. Not where I was headed. it's interesting that there's no acknowledgement of the fact that I've made posts critical of Obama and expressed discontent with the single ownership model of the two parties in the last several months. I think the direction needs to be an independent party in the context of campaign financing reform legislation.

You calling it rhetoric doesn't do anything to demonstrate those statements aren't true.

Remember your own rhetoric. "punishing the rich". class warfare. eliminate regulation and the free market will improve everything.

I embody the exact evil you, Brewha, and pdxstogieman rail against. I'm part of the elite ruling class that has the boot on your throat always. I challenge you to do something with your opinions other than just shake your fist in the air all the while knowing you still will not.

I offer to sell you the torches and pitchforks yet know not to place the actual order in China yet. Meanwhile I negotiate with the law enforcement agencies to sell them body armor and 9mm rounds once you do buy the pitchforks! Later I set up a pitchfork and torch recycling center with Federal green energy stimulus money to process all the spent torches and pitchforks!

Fantastic!

Ok then. I challange you to make Forbes 400 next year, ok 2 years. If you aren't there you are just lazy and stuff right? Everyone can be rich, just put your mind to it and work hard and I'm sure you can do it. A museum named after you would be cool, hell anything really. You probably don't like museums, so maybe you can commision a 10 story tall solid gold statue of Reagan.

It's nice to see you have such a high opinion of yourself. Must have been raised by people who didn't let sports teams keep score and everyone got a trophy.
