Do you bank with one of the banks which was too big to fail? Do you bank with a bank that received bailout money because they were incompetent and loaned money to people like you? Well it is time for payback. Cancel your account. Kill it. If you want to go with a soft approach, move your account to a credit union or small community bank but make sure it wasn't a bailout bank first. If you want to go with the hard approach, kill your bank account and do not open a new one. Get your money out of the industry altogether. Hit them where it hurts. Just moving your money to a smaller bank often isn't good enough because a number of the smaller banks are already owned by the giants or will be soon.

Now I know what you are thinking. "Le HockeyDad, I only have $48 in my bank account, how can that really make a difference?" That is easy......volume! Sure if just one of you pulls out his $48, it is harmless but if all of you do at the same time, it could add up to a significant amount and the banks would have to take notice.

Now the next question is what to do with the $48. If you really want to fight the power, you can't just put it back into another bank account. You need to use that money for good. Currently we still have a sale running on our deluxe pitchfork & torch set for $25. With the remaining $23, you can get a bite to eat at McDonalds and buy some pot.
