The best- even his hoakey, insincere apologies at the end of his act to the audience members that he had insulted were funny.
I wonder if he and Bob Newhart still go on vacation together?8-[

at their age a walk to the grocery store to return an empty milk bottle for the 3 cent deposit is a vacation.

years ago he told a true story on the carson show. his father used to work at one of the big hotels as a janitor/maintenance man. the owner was named sol. sol asked his father to fox a chair and he would be paid $45.00. when he finished fixing the chair sol said $45.00 was too much so he gave his father $35.00/

years later don was working the katskills as a star and his price for one night was $10,000.00.
he told sol his price at sol's hotel was going to be $10,010.00, which sol paid without question.

the next time don saw his father he said, sol gave me the $10.00 he owes you.
that brought tears to my eyes

I used to think Don Rickles was hilarious; a jerk, but hilarious. the last few times I have seen him on TV he has done nothing but irritate me.

You honor the memory of the performer when he was at his best. He was a groundbreaker for his time. Now everyone tries to mimic him by taking it to new vulgar yet pc levels.

Even Frank Sinatra forgot his lyrics & missed high notes near the the end of his life. People still came to see the legend.
Do you think they'll do that to see a doddering rapper with pigtails in his 70's?

^ Only thing Willie rapped was his knuckles trying to clean his bong. LOL
No, more like the Ice (fill in your beverage), JayZee, or Snoop Doggy Poop type rhymer.
