My Brother-In-Law did this floor for his paster a few summers back... he was a self contractor here in Illinois until work got slow.. but all the wood and labor for this job was on him... the materials were leftover's from jobs he had done for the previous 4 yrs... I'll post another pic of this job..

He and my Sister moved back to Florida so he could pick up better work... he's now knocking down $0.95 a sq ft... where he could have been making $2.95-$3.50 sq ft or more...

That is really sweet. I love to see this level of craftsmanship. There aren't many guys out there that can visual and execute such a project. What a shame that today's ecomony makes it so difficult for a true craftsman to survive.
