I was just curious who had the upper hand during the hand-to-hand confrontation.

From what little I could glean (official investigation is ongoing...), Zimmerman was a stocky 5'9" vs a lean 6'3" Trayvon. The latter was allegedly seen on top pounding the former's nose/face with his fists & bouncing the back of said victim's head off the ground... .
